Canadian Beer News will host the third in its series of beer dinners on April 27 at Splendido Restaurant in Toronto.
This time, the beer-pairing dinner will feature beers from Toronto-based importer Roland + Russell and food prepared by Victor Barry, co-owner of Splendido.
Priced at $150 (plus tax and gratuity), the dinner will take place in the Splendido wine seller and will be the first time a beer dinner has been held at the restaurant. What do you get for your money? Splendido will host a canapé reception, which will be followed by a six-course dinner. Paired with the food will be eight beers from the Roland + Russell catalogue, including Hitachino Nest XH (a Belgian-style ale from Japan making its Ontario debut), De Struise Double Black (an imperial stout from Belgium; only a single case was shipped to Canada, so this is the only chance to try it).
Only 24 seats will be available for the beer dinner. Reservations can be made by calling Splendido at 416-929-7788.
